It has recently undergone extensive refurbishment including complete interior decoration and the addition of a large outside terrace and barbeque area.

Nearby village of MontefrioCortijo Sophia is situated 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Montefrio, one of the prettiest towns in the western reaches of Granada Province, enjoying an impressive setting at the foot of the Sierra de la Parapanda. It's white-washed houses with their tiled roofs sit gracefully on two hills which appear like small islands amid a sea of olive groves. Approximately 35 minutes from Granada airport and 90 minutes from Malaga and the coast.
